Home Automation South Auckland

Home automation covers a lot of ground, from a couple of app-controlled lights through to a fully wired system that runs lighting, heating, blinds, gates and cameras from one place.

The practical distinction is wired versus wireless. Wireless kit is cheap, easy to add later and depends on your Wi-Fi holding up. A wired system — Clipsal C-Bus and similar — is more reliable and far more capable, but the control layer has to be cabled in at prewire stage. That is a decision to make before the linings go on, not after.

We install both across South Auckland and Franklin, and we will tell you honestly which one your project actually justifies. On a new build in Karaka or Drury wired usually earns its cost; on a two-room retrofit in Papakura it rarely does.

Whatever the system, it needs a network underneath it. Worth reading alongside data cabling.
